How do I measure my tub? Are there standard sizes?:

To measure your mobile home tub, just measure from lip to lip. Round your figures to the nearest inch. There are only a few standard sizes used by the manufactured housing industry:

  • 27" x 54" (Standard Size. Sometimes called a 28" x 54")
Comes in ABS (Plastic) and Fiberglass.
  • 42" x 54" (Standard Size. Replaced the old 40" x 54")
    Comes in ABS (Plastic) only!
  • 44" x 54" (Standard Size)
    Comes in Fiberglass only!
  • 42" x 60"
Comes in ABS (Plastic) and Fiberglass.
  • 48" x 60" (Largest Size)
    Comes in Fiberglass only!

What is the difference between the ABS and Fiberglass?

There are two materials that tubs are made from in the mobile home industry:

ABS (Plastic):

  • Lite Weight. Weighs 30lbs.
  • Easy to handle and install.
  • Works well for rental units
  • Will last years with proper care.

  • Heavy Duty.
  • Crack resistant.
  • Will last for years...and years, etc.
  • Shiny, reflective finish.

How do I tell what 'Type' my drain is?:

  • Stand in front of your tub or shower (face it as though you will step in).
  • Left Handed - Drain is situated on the left side of tub.
  • Right Handed - Drain is situated on the right side of tub.
  • Center Drain - Drain is situated in the center back of tub.
